چکیده
The Cohesive/Overlapping Crack Model is able to describe the transition between cracking and crushing failures occurring in reinforced concrete beams by increasing beam depth and/or steel percentage. Within this Nonlinear Fracture Mechanics model, tensile compressive ultimate behaviors of matrix are modeled through two different process zones that advance independently one another. Moreover, model investigate local mechanical instabilities structural behavior structures: snap-back snap-through, which due or fracture, at end plastic plateau, generated unstable growth zone. In context, application highlights ductility, represented rotation capacity a element subjected bending, decreases as reinforcement percentage increase. Thus, scale-dependent maximum beyond occurs prior yielding demonstrated exist. particular, results be inversely proportional h0.25, h being depth. way, rational quantitative definition over-reinforcement provided depending on

Shear Strength of Slender Reinforced Concrete Beams without Web Reinforcement
This paper attempt to predict the shear strength of high strength concrete beam with different shear span of depth ratio without web reinforcement. The large data base available has been clustered and a linear equation analysis has been performed . The prepared models are functions of compressive strength , percentage of flexural reinforcement and depth of beam. The proposed models have been va...
متن کاملReliability evaluation of reinforced concrete beams
The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the time-invariant reliability of reinforced concrete beams designed under the provisions of the ACI Building Code. A wide range of practical design situations is considered. The beams are subjected to bending, shear, and torsion. The interaction between shear and torsion is considered via an elliptical failure surface defined in the shear-torsion stress...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation on Shear Cracking Behavior in Reinforced Concrete Beams with Shear Reinforcement
This paper presents an experimental investigation to clarify shear cracking behavior of reinforced concrete beams. The effects of the various influential parameters on the spacing between shear cracks and the relationship between shear crack width and stirrup strain at the intersection with shear cracks were carefully investigated. It was found that shear crack width proportionally increases wi...
