Root-Growth-Related MaTCP Transcription Factors Responsive to Drought Stress in Mulberry

چکیده

Root growth regulation plays a crucial role in the acclimatization of plants to their surroundings, but molecular mechanisms underlying this process remain largely uncertain. Teosinte branched1/cycloidea/proliferating cell factor (TCP) transcription factors are elements linking together plant and development, phytohormone signaling, stress response. In study, 15 TCP were identified mulberry (Morus alba) genome. Gene structure, conserved motif, phylogenetic analyses revealed conservation divergence these MaTCPs, thus providing insights into functions. A promoter analysis uncovered distinct numbers compositions cis-elements MaTCP gene regions that may be connected reproductive responses. An expression pattern genes roots indicated transcriptional levels MaTCP2, MaTCP4-1, MaTCP8, MaTCP9-1, MaTCP20-2 correlated with root development. As by changes expressions after drought treatment, five involved increase tolerance drought. Our findings lay foundation for future functional studies genes.

Isolation and functional analysis of Arabidopsis stress-inducible NAC transcription factors that bind to a drought-responsive cis-element in the early responsive to dehydration stress 1 promoter.

The MYC-like sequence CATGTG plays an important role in the dehydration-inducible expression of the Arabidopsis thaliana EARLY RESPONSIVE TO DEHYDRATION STRESS 1 (ERD1) gene, which encodes a ClpA (ATP binding subunit of the caseinolytic ATP-dependent protease) homologous protein. Using the yeast one-hybrid system, we isolated three cDNA clones encoding proteins that bind to the 63-bp promoter r...

Contribution of the drought tolerance-related Stress-responsive NAC1 transcription factor to resistance of barley to Ramularia leaf spot

NAC proteins are plant transcription factors that are involved in tolerance to abiotic and biotic stresses, as well as in many developmental processes. Stress-responsive NAC1 (SNAC1) transcription factor is involved in drought tolerance in barley and rice, but has not been shown previously to have a role in disease resistance. Transgenic over-expression of HvSNAC1 in barley cv. Golden Promise r...

Study of Expression Pattern of Some Transcription Factors in Wheat under Drought Stress and Zinc Nanoparticles

Under drought stress condition, the signaling system induces expression of certain genes to counteract the deleterious effects of environmental stress. Among the essential micronutrients for plant growth and development, zinc has an important role in many plant metabolic processes including gene expression and stress tolerance. In order to investigate the effect of drought stress and ZnO on r...

FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS OF DROUGHT RESPONSIVE SOYBEAN GmNAC003 AND GmNAC004 TRANSCRIPTION FACTORS IN LATERAL ROOT DEVELOPMENT IN ARABIDOPSIS

Several NAC transcription factors promote lateral root (LR) numbers in Arabidopsis through the auxin signaling pathway. In soybean, a majority of genotypes increased LR number in response to water deficit. It is possible that drought inducible soybean NAC may be involved in the regulation of this enhanced LR number. Two drought responsive soybean GmNAC003 and GmNAC004 genes were included in the...

Root growth potential as an indicator of drought stress history.

Container-grown quiescent Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii var. glauca (Beissn.) Franco) seedlings were air dried to plant water potentials of -0.2, -2.2 or -3.8 MPa (unstressed, moderate, and severe stress treatments, respectively). Trees from each treatment were either placed in root mist chambers held at 10, 20, or 28 degrees C for 28 days and root growth potential (RGP) and plant water po...
