Renal carbuncle after SARS-CoV-2 infection in a pregnant woman

<b>Data:</b> Patient: Female, 21-year-old, and pregnant<br /> Final diagnosis: Carbuncle of the left kidney<br Symptoms: Acute pain in lumbar region, radiating to inguinal weakness<br Clinical procedure: Ureteroscopy with stenting both kidneys decapsulation.<br <b>Objective:</b> Rare coexistence disease or pathology<br <b>Background:</b> Here we present a patient who was admitted clinical suspicion urinary system infection during pregnancy finally diagnosed her kidney.<br <b>Case report:</b> 21-year-old 26-week pregnant women complaints acute region along weakness Hospital No 7 Kalkaman Almaty on 18.05.2022. In anamnesis, she infected SARS-CoV-2 prior admission. Based complaints, anamnesis gynecological examination data preliminary diagnosis made as at 26 weeks. Further revealed that had carbuncle kidney perirenal tissue, kidney, paranephritis left, obstructive pyelonephritis right. Lab results showed elevated leukocytes, anemia, lymphopenia.<br <b>Conclusions:</b> This case shows us how woman’s weakened immune from COVID-19 pregnancy, which can further weaken susceptible infection, progressed tissue involvement.
