چکیده

As a non-contact and non-destructive technology, laser cleaning provides an alternative method for the paint stripping of aircraft skins. Herein, particular multi-layer on aluminum alloy skin surface was stripped by adjusting parameters. Beyond expectation, led to highly complex as opposed ordinary single-layer after cleaning. The morphology, chemical compositions, functional groups samples were analyzed, successful depaint parameters found in this experiment with damage free substrate, i.e., energy density 5.09 J/cm2 scanning speed 700 mm/s. More importantly, paper revealed that mechanisms from Al are thermal decomposition, evaporation, spallation. After cleaning, nanoindentation hardness completely undamaged increased 3.587% relative conventional mechanical lapping sample. improvement also confirmed microstructure characterized electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) which plastic deformation strain hardening substrate surface. This study lays solid foundation large-scale, high-efficiency, low-pollution removal more layers surfaces future.

The stratum corneum (SC) is a dead structure. However, it exerts a unique barrier function partly protecting the living tissues from a series of environmental threats including ultraviolet light, microorganisms and irritant/toxic xenobiotics. In addition, the SC controls any excessive loss in water, electrolytes and macromolecules from the skin. In addition, the SC acts as a unique sophisticate...

Exposure assessment of organic solvents for aircraft paint stripping and spraying workers.

The main objective of this study is to investigate the personal or area exposure of organic solvents during paint stripping and paint spraying. Three aircraft paint stripping/spraying workplaces in Taiwan were selected, and the Council of Labor Affairs and NIOSH recommended sampling/analytical methods used in this study. Activated charcoal tubes were used to investigate the personal and area ex...

Impact of virus surface characteristics on removal mechanisms within membrane bioreactors.

In this study we investigated the removal of viruses with similar size and shape but with different external surface capsid proteins by a bench-scale membrane bioreactor (MBR). The goal was to determine which virus removal mechanisms (retention by clean backwashed membrane, retention by cake layer, attachment to biomass, and inactivation) were most impacted by differences in the virus surface p...
