RELIGIOUS MODERATION AND LOCAL RELIGIOUS CONTENT CURRICULUM: A STUDY OF THE INTERNALIZATION OF THE RELIGIOUS MODERATION VALUES IN MADRASA

Religious moderation is an important comprehension among the spread of extreme religious thoughts and practices. In this case, Islamic education institutions have a major role as spearhead in internalizing values, including Madrasah Aliyah (MA) NU Miftahul Falah Kudus, Central Java. This study aims to reveal characteristics local content curriculum focusing on moderation, process model based curriculum. its implementation, research used qualitative approach with data collection techniques form interviews, observations, documentation, literature review. Sources were obtained from head madrasa, deputy curriculum, teachers content, students. The results revealed that first, at MA Kudus more boarding school-based which yellow books (Kitab Kuning) written by classical scholars been teaching material. Second, values was taught through subjects, starting socialization equalization perceptions about supporting teachers, then internalized all main emphasis aswaja, ushul fiqh, qawaidul fiqhiyyah, subjects using problem-based learning combined sorogan bandongan methods. three models emphasized adopting formal school multi-strategy delivery. As educational institution materials Salaf book, madrasa present mainstreaming wasathiyah insight.
