Recovery of Rare Erath Oxides from Flotation Concentrates of Bastnaesite Ore by Ultra-Fine Centrifugal Concentration

چکیده

Historically, the ability to effectively separate carbonate gangue from bastnaesite via flotation has frequently proven be challenging without sacrificing significant rare earth oxide (REO) grade or recovery. However, in light of fact that bearing minerals often exhibit higher specific gravities than gangue, possibility exists use gravity separation could used achieve such a selective separation. This however is complicated by that, cases as this study when liberation size finer 50 microns, most traditional methods become increasingly challenging. The aim determine applicability centrifugal concentrators beneficiate ultra-fine (UF) and calcite concentrates. By using UF Falcon, it was possible initial REO recoveries exceeding 90% while rejecting on order 25% 35% total calcium an assortment rougher cleaner Additionally, additional stages Falcon were operated open circuit configuration, possible, original fine feed 35 microns containing 50.5% 5.5% Ca, upgrade up approximately 59% 2.0% calcium. While not goal study, these results also support previous limited data suggest Falcons are potentially capable treating wider range materials they originally designed for, including feeds rich heavy mineral content.

Separation of Ultra - Fine Sulphur Particles from Nta Dispersion by Aphron Flotation

Oxidative scrubbing is used to remove H2S from gas streams. A key problem in regeneration of the absorbent is the removal of fine particles of sulphur from the suspension of the scrubbing liquid. Dispersions of ultra-fine bubbles have been called "colloidal gas aphrons" or aphrons for short. These dispersions have interesting properties and it was found that they have particular advantages in t...

Reprocessing of Sangan iron ore tailings by flotation

The Sangan processing plant consists of four consecutive low-intensity magnetic separation steps with the same magnetic field intensity of 1300 Gauss for upgradation of iron ore. Hence, the iron ore minerals with lower magnetic susceptibility or interlocked with gangue minerals have no opportunity for upgradation, and proceed to the tailing dam. Flotation is a powerful technique for upgradation...

Investigation of Flotation Parameters for Copper Recovery from Enargite and Chalcopyrite Mixed Ore

A flotation pre-treatment study for the separation of enargite (Cu3AsS4) from chalcopyrite (CuFeS2) ores of different origins was investigated in this work. The copper ore bearing enargite mineral contained 5.87mass% As and 16.50mass% Cu while the chalcopyrite bearing ore contained 0.32mass% As and 21.63mass% Cu. The two ore samples were mixed at 7 : 3 (enargite : chalcopyrite) by weight ratio ...
