Quotients of singular foliations and Lie 2-group actions

چکیده
Androulidakis–Skandalis (2009) showed that every singular foliation has an associated topological groupoid, called holonomy groupoid. In this note, we exhibit some functorial properties of assignment: if a foliated manifold $(M,\mathcal{F}\_M)$ is the quotient $(P,\mathcal{F}\_P)$ along surjective submersion with connected fibers, then same true for corresponding groupoids. For quotients by Lie group action, analogue statement holds under suitable assumptions, yielding 2-group action on

Lie group foliations: dynamical systems and integrators
Foliate systems are those which preserve some (possibly singular) foliation of phase space, such as systems with integrals, systems with continuous symmetries, and skew product systems. We study numerical integrators which also preserve the foliation. The case in which the foliation is given by the orbits of an action of a Lie group has a particularly nice structure, which we study in detail, g...
متن کاملFactorial Algebraic Group Actions and Categorical Quotients
Given an action of an affine algebraic group with only trivial characters on a factorial variety, we ask for categorical quotients. We characterize existence in the category of algebraic varieties. Moreover, allowing constructible sets as quotients, we obtain a more general existence result, which, for example, settles the case of a finitely generated algebra of invariants. As an application, w...
متن کاملGeometric Quotients of Unipotent Group Actions
This article is devoted to the problem of constructing geometric quotients of a quasiaffine scheme X over a field of characteristic 0 by a unipotent algebraic group G. This problem arises naturally if one tries to construct moduli spaces in the sense of Mumford's 'geometric invariant theory' for singularities of algebraic varieties or for modules over the local ring of such a singularity. Indee...
متن کاملQuotients by non-reductive algebraic group actions
Geometric invariant theory (GIT) was developed in the 1960s by Mumford in order to construct quotients of reductive group actions on algebraic varieties and hence to construct and study a number of moduli spaces, including, for example, moduli spaces of bundles over a nonsingular projective curve [26, 28]. Moduli spaces often arise naturally as quotients of varieties by algebraic group actions,...
متن کاملDesingularizing Compact Lie Group Actions
This note surveys the well-known structure of G-manifolds and summarizes parts of two papers that have not yet appeared: [4], joint with J. Brüning and F. W. Kamber, and [8], joint with I. Prokhorenkov. In particular, from a given manifold on which a compact Lie group acts smoothly, we construct a sequence of manifolds on which the same Lie group acts, but with fewer levels of singular strata. ...
