Psychiatric disorders in women hospitalized at the arrazi psychiatric hospital

Introduction Women get hospitalized for various serious mental disorders that are gender specific, half of them married with children, the other single\divorced women stigmatized and marginalized in our society. Objectives The aim this study is to describe mentally ill admitted into psychiatric hospital, socio demographically clinically, highlighting differences, specificities multiple roles distress deviate course disorder. Methods This a prospective cross-sectional involving 50 patients Ar-razi Psychiatric Hospital Results average age 39years, 41% single, low educational level (primary school). 77% from urban region, 59% jobless. 19% have positive family history, 65% suffered schizophrenia. schizophrenia, followed by bipolar I disorder 22%, MDD only represented 10%. 25% inpatients deal toxic habit, 18,5% abuse nicotine one woman tried quitting.
