Pro197Thr Substitution in Ahas Gene Causing Resistance to Pyroxsulam Herbicide in Rigid Ryegrass (Lolium Rigidum Gaud.)
نویسندگان
چکیده
Lolium rigidum Gaud. is a cross-pollinated species characterized by high genetic diversity and it was detected as one of the most herbicide resistance-prone weeds, globally. Acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS) resistant populations cause significant problems in cereal production; therefore, monitoring development AHAS resistance widely recommended. Using next-generation sequencing (NGS), de novo transcriptome dataset presented to identify complete open reading frame (ORF) enzyme L. design markers amplify fragments consisting all eight resistance-conferring amino acid mutation sites. Pro197Thr, Pro197Ala, Pro197Ser, Pro197Gln, Trp574Leu substitutions have been observed samples. Although Pro197Thr substitution already described SU IMI populations, this first report reveal that confers level (ED50 3.569) pyroxsulam (Triazolopyrimidine).

High Levels of Herbicide Resistance in Rigid Ryegrass (Lolium rigidum) in the Wheat Belt of Western Australia
A random survey of 264 cropping fields in the Western Australian wheat belt was conducted to determine the extent of rigid ryegrass resistance to commonly used acetolactate synthaseand acetyl-CoA carboxylase-inhibiting herbicides. Rigid ryegrass infestation density was assessed and seed samples collected and subsequently tested for resistance to diclofop-methyl, clethodim, chlorsulfuron, and su...
متن کاملAn Herbicide-Susceptible Rigid Ryegrass (Lolium rigidum) Population Made Even More Susceptible
A wild population of a plant species, especially a cross-pollinated species, can display considerable genetic variation. Genetic variability is evident in differential susceptibility to an herbicide because the population can show continuous phenotypic variation. Recent, recurrent selection studies have revealed that phenotypic variation in response to low herbicide rates is heritable and can r...
متن کاملCultural control of herbicide-resistant Lolium rigidum Gaud. populations in winter cereal in Northeastern Spain
Lolium rigidum Gaud. is one of the most common weed species in winter cereals in Northeastern Spain. Herbicide resistance has been growing since the mid 90’s and exclusive herbicide use is not enough in many cases, so that it is necessary to combine as many control tools as possible. Six field trials have been conducted during the cropping seasons 200102, 2002-03 and 2003-04 on winter cereal in...
متن کاملPollen-Mediated Movement of Herbicide Resistance Genes in Lolium rigidum
The transfer of herbicide resistance genes by pollen is a major concern in cross-pollinated species such as annual ryegrass (Lolium rigidum). A two-year study was conducted in the greenhouse, under favorable conditions for pollination, to generate information on potential maximum cross-pollination. This maximum cross-pollination rate was 56.1%. A three-year field trial was also conducted to stu...
متن کاملDelayed pasture germination allows improved rigid ryegrass (Lolium rigidum) control through grazing and broad-spectrum herbicide application
Eastern star clover (Trifolium dasyurum C. Presl.) is a new pasture legume developed for use in short phases between extended cropping sequences in Western Australian dryland agriculture. Its delayed germination provides an opportunity to obtain almost complete control of the highly-competitive crop weed rigid ryegrass (Lolium rigidum Gaudin) through non-selective herbicide application and/or g...
