Performance Analysis of Grid-Connected Distributed Generation System Integrating a Hybrid Wind-PV Farm Using UPQC

This work presents a distributed generation system (DG) that combines of wind turbine (WT) and photovoltaic (PV) using unified power quality conditioner (UPQC). Along with providing active (AP) to the utility grid, Wind-PV-UPQC improves PQ indicators, for example, voltage drops/surges, harmonics grid voltages, PF. Since depends on dual compensation scheme, parallel converter works as sinusoidal source, while series current source. In this way, smooth transition from operation island vice versa can be achieved without load transitions. addition, in order overcome problems through abrupt solar radiation or speed variations, faster balance is between turbines, PV array, FFCL pursue production references converter. Consequently, dynamic reactions currents dc bus are enhanced. A comprehensive analysis flow AP converters done ensure proper understanding how works. Finally, simulation results shown estimate static performance conjunction distribution system.
