PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMP MELALUI STRATEGI KNOW-WANT-LEARNED (KWL)

This study aims to determine the effect of applying Know-Want-Learned (KWL) learning strategy in improving mathematics outcomes Grade VIII students at a public junior high schools Denpasar. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which conducted on 40 class VIIIA as sample. test instrument is with 4 questions form essays. results showed that there an increase school through implementation KWL strategy, especially two-variable linear equation systems. can be seen from average score pre-cycle activities 43, first cycle it increased 51, and un second became 77. occurred because carried out by new paradigm differentiation. includes competency standard mapping, independent learning, minimal assessment so guarantee more flexibility for educators formulate designs assessments according characteristics needs students. differentiation made content.
