Accordingly, this article explores pedagogical challenges prompted by pandemic pivot online Analysing qualitative survey data from Danish university teachers (n = 488), we identify five critical stances towards educational technology: (1) technologies are fine when used correctly; (2) technical issues a major obstacle; (3) teaching overwhelming; (4) one's sense students suffers online; (5) hide behind their screens. Based on these results, identifies two education: problem presence webcam-related tension between surveillance care.

Reach Out and Touch Someone: Anticipatory Sensorimotor Processes of Active Interpersonal Touch
Anticipating the sensorimotor consequences of an action for both self and other is fundamental for action coordination when individuals socially interact. Somatosensation constitutes an elementary component of social cognition and sensorimotor prediction, but its functions in active social behavior remain unclear. We hypothesized that the somatosensory system contributes to social haptic behavi...
متن کاملOut of Touch? Visual Load Induces Inattentional Numbness
It is now well known that the absence of attention can leave people unaware of both visual and auditory stimuli (e.g., Dalton & Fraenkel, 2012; Mack & Rock, 1998). However, the possibility of similar effects within the tactile domain has received much less research. Here, we introduce a new tactile inattention paradigm and use it to test whether tactile awareness depends on the level of percept...
متن کاملProtein Localization: Reach out and Touch the Forespore
Bacterial proteins are typically sorted to subcellular regions with distinct physical characteristics that serve as cellular 'addresses', but many proteins are evidently sorted to specific areas that lack any apparent unique identity. Recent work in Bacillus subtilis suggests that such proteins may be localized by interacting with extracellular domains of proteins in an adjacent cellular compar...
متن کاملOut of Touch? an Evaluation of the Correspondence between Academic and Practitioner Concerns in Ihrm
This study evaluated the practical relevance of the academic literature on international human-resources management (IHRM). To this end, 304 IHRM articles published in nine academic and eight practitioner journals during 1991–2000 were examined. Results suggested that academics and practitioners varied in their focus on HR topics, geographical regions, and cultural vs. institutional variables. ...
متن کاملVisual capture of touch: out-of-the-body experiences with rubber gloves.
When the apparent visual location of a body part conflicts with its veridical location, vision can dominate proprioception and kinesthesia. In this article, we show that vision can capture tactile localization. Participants discriminated the location of vibrotactile stimuli (upper, at the index finger, vs. lower, at the thumb), while ignoring distractor lights that could independently be upper ...
