Organizational attractiveness after identity threats of crises: how potential employees anticipate social identity

چکیده
This study examines how organizations shape potential employees’ social identity prior to joining the organization. is relevant in light of growing demands for knowledge workers together with a lack about determinants employer attractiveness this group. Our uses different organizational crises as identity-threatening events and extends current research by showing such influence anticipations identity, well their perceptions organization’s attractiveness. Empirical evidence from our scenario-based experiments United Kingdom States shows that changes occurring reduce anticipated self-continuity self-esteem mediate relationship. The effects become stronger increasing crisis responsibility. More surprisingly, qualitative data indicate certain forms can also attract types employees triggering compassion, engagement help organization recover, beliefs learning future improvements.
