چکیده
Abstract The nuclear fusion waste generated by the activation of constitutent components Korean DEMOnstration reactor (K-DEMO) is assessed after end life (EOL). Based on results, an attempt made to classify radioactive (RW) according regulations RW classification and self-disposal standards. One hundred years EOL, most (∼90%) reduced ferritic/martensitic steel structures in tritium-breeding blanket can be classified as intermediate-level (ILW). One-third total weight borated stainless inside shielding also ILW 100 EOL. remaining K-DEMO are low-level waste. this study, disposal strategies will planned parallel with advance design minimize fraction ILW.

he topic of radioactive waste generates debate, both publicly and scientifically. Like chemical and other hazardous waste, radioactive waste needs to be dealt with to ensure its safety and its security. Proper management and disposal of most forms of radioactive waste is technically straightforward. A robust safety regime has been developed internationally for managing and disposing of radioact...

متن کاملDisposal of Radioactive Waste
Perhaps the most important single problem arising from the increasing use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes is how to dispose of the growing amounts of radioactive waste. Many of its complex aspects were discussed at the scientific conference on the disposal of radioactive waste held by IAEA in Monaco from 16 to 21 November 1959. The conference was organized jointly with UNESCO, with the c...

The necessity of high-energy nuclear data libraries for accelerator-based transmutation research is argued. After a brief sketch of the bigll-energy nuclear reaction chain in an incineration system, the most important data. needs for accelerator-based transmutation are categorized by reaction type and nlaterial. The present status of the collection of experimental data for high energies is inve...
