Near-Infrared Absorbing Molecule Based on Triphenylamine Radical Cation with Extended Homoaryl ?-System

چکیده

Four triphenylamines with extended ?-systems were synthesized. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) measurements showed that they gave radical cations, which are stable in solution. Radical cations obtained upon one electron chemical oxidation strong absorption the near-infrared region. The of naphthalene-substituted derivatives show a maximum wavelength above 1000 nm and classified as NIR-II dyes. Molecular design rules novel absorbing dyes described.
