Nanoparticle?mediated siRNA delivery systems for cancer therapy

چکیده

The small interfering RNA (siRNA)-based therapeutics have raised great attention since the first interference (RNAi)-derived drug, patisiran, was approved by US Food and Drug Administration, which represented a landmark in field of gene therapy. Given properties disease-associated expression, RNAi machinery is regarded as an essential factor for preparing precise medicine. However, over past few years, siRNA drugs are undergoing period clinical translation, major hurdle limited efficient delivery strategies. Therefore, this mini-review mainly focuses on describing state-of-the-art nanoscale platforms delivering payloads, also addressing their applications cancer Finally, status under trials discussed, providing comprehensive understanding oligonucleotide-mediated therapeutics.

Multifunctional siRNA Delivery System for Cancer Therapy

The rationale for this study is to develop a multifunctional nanomedicine platform for siRNA targeted delivery to cancerous tumors as well as the use of MRI as a non-invasive strategy to monitor the drug therapy outcome. Therefore, we propose a novel multifunctional gene delivery vector by combining the magnetic properties of iron oxide nanoparticles and their ability to package siRNA strands i...

Recent Developments in Nanoparticle-Based siRNA Delivery for Cancer Therapy

RNA interference (RNAi) is a gene regulation mechanism initiated by RNA molecules that enables sequence-specific gene silencing by promoting degradation of specific mRNAs. Molecular therapy using small interfering RNA (siRNA) has shown great therapeutic potential for diseases caused by abnormal gene overexpression or mutation. The major challenges to application of siRNA therapeutics include th...

Nanomaterials as Non-viral siRNA Delivery Agents for Cancer Therapy.

Gene therapy has been recently shown as a promising tool for cancer treatment as nanotechnology-based safe and effective delivery methods are developed. Generally, genes are wrapped up in extremely tiny nanoparticles which could be taken up easily by cancer cells, not to their healthy neighboring cells. Several nanoparticle systems have been investigated primarily to address the problems involv...
