Multiobjective Intuitionistic Fuzzy Optimization Approach in Optimal Irrigation Planning and Operation of Reservoir

A Multiobjective Intuitionistic Fuzzy Linear Programming model is developed to get an optimal cropping pattern in the command area of Ukai-Kakrapar Irrigation project Gujarat, India. Four conflicting objectives, namely, maximization net irrigation benefits (NIB), employment (EG), minimization cultivation cost (CC), and revenue generation on account industrial municipal supplies (MI) were optimized for their crisp linear programming (LP) solutions. Optimization Multi-objective fuzzy (IFO MOFLP), IFO MOFLP with hesitation index, two-phase models from LP The TPIFO has been found perform better than other variant (Average operator Case-I) by Mirajkar Patel J Water Resour Plan Manag 142(11):1–16, 2016 same reference uncertainty parameters like degree acceptance (α), rejection (β), index (π) 75% dependable inflow condition. recommended also gives higher intensity (112.19%) Average Operator Case-I (104.60%) whole area. implementation likely give values NIB, EG, CC, MI as Rs 10,836.19 million, 34,980.4 thousand workdays, 5,672.23 2,314.03 respectively, α = 0.68, β 0.19, π 0.13. suggested new α, β, and, π, would assist decision makers apply real world problems greater certainty.
