چکیده

In this article, we present a new method to control the thermal stimulation of skin during photorejuvenation procedure. The proposed can precisely administer dose while controlling tissue's temperature under safe limit. For that, model-based treatment controller is developed and evaluated on 3-D biophysics-based numerical model skin. A hardware implementation experimentally tested gelatin-based phantom tissue subjected pulsed laser irradiation. key component our use metric that enables quantifying process. This represents suitable alternative lack consensus metrics used by photodermatology community. reported experiments demonstrate endowed with unit automatically deliver prescribed irradiation over surface. significance result it provides control-theoretic framework automate treatments thermal-guided robots. approach has potential introduce standards in automation these types phototreatments.
