Midwifery Now: Narratives about Motivations for Career Choice

The objective of this study was to analyse nursing students’ motivation choose the midwifery career. This is a cross-sectional with qualitatively driven mixed-methods approach. settings are three higher education institutions located in Portugal. conducted between September 2019 and November 2021, participation 74 master’s students, through convenience sampling. data were collected LimeSurvey software subsequently analysed SPSS IRaMuTeQ programs. emerging thematic areas as follows: (1) building professional identity (2) knowledge construction.
