Joint Mobility among Patients with Trochanteric Bursitis in Erbil-Iraq

Background: Trochanteric bursitis is the inflammation of greater trochanter bursa, which located lateral to femur. The underlying causes trochanteric are multifactorial. Joint mobility considered as one possible causes; laxity a condition in range motion joints than normal, more women men with higher prevalence young ages. Aim study: assess joint among people bursitis.Patients and Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted Rheumatology Outpatient clinic Rizgary Teaching Hospital Iraqi Kurdistan region between February December 2021. sample 100 patients bursitis, another healthy controls matched age sex were studied. Beighton score performed on mobility. Results: hypermobility reported 24(12%) compared 29(14.5%) (p= 0.423, OR 0.773; 95%CI 0.412-1.452), no significant differences detected two groups. females using cutoff ≥4 score; forty-six fiftythree hypermobile participants female, p-value 0.001 statistically significant.Conclusion: There positive correlation presence bursitis.
