IoT vs. Human: A Comparison of Mobility

Internet of Thing (IoT) devices are rapidly becoming an indispensable part our life with their increasing deployment in many promising areas, including tele-health, smart city, intelligent agriculture. Understanding the mobility IoT is essential to improve quality service applications, such as route planning logistic management, infrastructure deployment, cellular network update and congestion detection traffic. Despite its importance, there not results pertaining devices. In this article, we aim answer three research questions: (i) what patterns device? (ii) differences between device smartphone patterns? (iii) how differ among types usage scenarios? We present a comprehensive characterization from perspective data networks, using 36-days long signal trace, 1.5 million 0.425 smartphones, collected nation-wide China. first investigate basic two perspectives: temporal spatial characteristics. Our study finds that exhibits significantly different compared smartphones multiple aspects. For instance, move more frequently have larger radius gyration.
