Involvement of Taste Receptors in the Oro-Sensory Perception of Nutrients in Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) Fed Diets with Different Fatty Acid Profiles

چکیده

Taste perception plays an important role in animal’s detection of nutrients, conveying key dietary information, fundamental for its growth and survival. Because alternative terrestrial ingredients are known to affect the feeding rainbow trout (RT, Oncorhynchus mykiss), we aimed assess importance taste receptors detection. Using self-feeders, examined behavior (30 days a trial followed by 10 preference trial) RT fed with commercial diet (C), vegetable diets supplemented linseed oil (V1) or algal (V2). During those V2 decreased their food intake. The revealed that fish preferred v. C V1 which had consumed during trial. Mechanistically, were mainly expressed organs regulated diet, indicated function receptors. Some fatty acids (such as ffar receptor) amino tasr highly tongue. While ffar2a transcripts upregulated vegetal tongue, ffar1 ffar4, roles mammals, very low not found genome, respectively. Overall findings show displayed mechanisms oro-gustatory nutrients related different composition.

Rainbow Trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss

Rainbow trout are classified as Oncorhynchus mykiss, and as such belong to the same genus as Pacific salmon, and to the family Salmonidae, which includes Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), various trout (Salvelinus sp.), Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus), Arctic grayling (Thymallus arcticus) and whitefish (Coregonus sp.). Rainbow trout are native to areas around the North Pacific Ocean, from souther...

Physiological modulation of iron metabolism in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fed low and high iron diets.

Iron (Fe) is an essential element, but Fe metabolism is poorly described in fish and the role of ferrireductase and transferrin in iron regulation by teleosts is unknown. The aim of the present study was to provide an overview of the strategy for Fe handling in rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss. Fish were fed Fe-deficient, normal and high-Fe diets (33, 175, 1975 mg Fe kg(-1) food, respectively...

Vitellogenin receptors during vitellogenesis in the rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss.

Rainbow trout vitellogenin receptors have been characterized by ligand blotting and Scatchard analysis. Their evolution has been studied over a reproductive cycle in a broodstock of 2-year-old females. The receptors were prepared from ovarian membrane homogenates and were solubilized using n-octyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside. The visualization of the receptor by ligand blotting using 125iodine-vitel...

Effects of different feed restriction periods on the growth and fatty acid compositions in juvenile rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different feed restriction periods on the growth performance as well as the biochemical and fatty acid compositions of fillet in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Fish with an average initial weight of 64.80±7.41g were used in the study. The trial lasted 60 days and 4 different feeding diets were alternately applied to the fish. The contro...
