Fenbendazole (FBZ) is a commonly used anthelmintic in veterinary medicine that has recently been found to have anticancer effects humans. On the other hand, few studies examined anti-inflammatory of FBZ, and its mechanism unknown. In this study, mouse bone marrow cells (BMs) were treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS), representative inflammation-inducing substance, generate situation similar osteomyelitis vitro. The effect FBZ on inflammatory BMs was by measuring metabolic activity, surface marker expression, cell nuclear morphology, mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) BMs. decreased activity MMP LPS-treated Annexin Ⅴ-fluorescein isothiocyanate/propidium iodide staining Hoechst 33342 showed reduced number viable induced death addition, proportion granulocytes more than B lymphocytes Overall, induces destabilizing LPS-induced can play role as an agent agent.
