Infections and rheumatic diseases have shared a close relationship since time immemorial. Some are direct consequence of infections while others been associated with certain microbes without an established causal link. The above is becoming more complex due to rapid advances in therapeutics, also because factors such as climate change worldwide travel. This brief review the major facets this demonstrates that clinicians not only keep up all management but must remain vigilant about both common well opportunistic unfamiliar their consequences.
