Impact of hydrogen potential on anaerobic digestion of organic waste

چکیده

The world’s waste deposit has become more important due to the growth of world economy and demography. Biomethanation is method choice for treatment fermentable fractions municipal waste. However, low methane yield operational issues process instability prevent this technology from being widely applied. It shows that biogas made up approximately 50-70% CH 4 ; 30-50% CO 2 traces other gases. Solutions improving production include controlling anaerobic digestion factors. These factors are essentially: methanogenic potential, carbon/nitrogen ratio (C/N), temperature, Hydrogen potential (pH) tightness reactor. Among these factors, one most important, pH, analysed in article order ensure production’s optimization. 02 substrates studied potato peel cow’s stomach waste: As results, varies constantly with variation pH. With a pH lower than 5 decreases. best productions were obtained value between 6.9 7.4. That said, it find way stabilize better sustainability. Eggshell been maintain balance good results have obtained.

Enhanced Anaerobic Digestion of Organic Waste

Anaerobic digestion (AD) of organic municipal solid waste (OMSW) is considered as a key element in sustainable municipal waste management due to its benefits for energy, environment, and economy. This process reduces emission of greenhouse gases, generates renewable natural gas, and produces fertilizers and soil amendments. Due to its advantages over other treatment methods and waste-to-energy ...

The anaerobic digestion of solid organic waste.

The accumulation of solid organic waste is thought to be reaching critical levels in almost all regions of the world. These organic wastes require to be managed in a sustainable way to avoid depletion of natural resources, minimize risk to human health, reduce environmental burdens and maintain an overall balance in the ecosystem. A number of methods are currently applied to the treatment and m...

Kinetics of volatile fatty acids and hydrogen production during anaerobic digestion of organic waste material

This short paper describes the changes in VFA and hydrogen production in time, during an anaerobic microbial digestion where the organic waste material was given as a substrate. The experiment showed that the reaction run most efficiently between 6 and 10th hour of the reaction time. This can be an indicator for future experiments on VFA and hydrogen production optimisation.
