چکیده

During the last ten years, worldwide interest in using insects as food and feed has surged. Edible fall within category of novel foods, i.e., not consumed significant amounts European Union before 15 May 1997 (the date entry into force Regulation (EC) No. 258/1997, later repealed by (EU) 2283/2015). One most promising insect species to be raised for is house cricket (Acheta domesticus). In this study, rearing a stock crickets was studied over period four months. The microbiological quality farm swabs on surface boxes analyze trend time different populations microorganisms (total aerobic mesophilic microbiota, Lactobacillus spp., enterococci, Staphylococcus Enterobacteriaceae, total coliforms, Pseudomonas spp. molds). presence antimicrobial resistance genes (aph, blaZ, sul1, tetM) investigated polymerase chain reaction. A production scheme also developed order obtain cricket-based flour, which analyzed its chemical-centesimal profile. results obtained study demonstrate that contamination increases with proper management farming system utmost importance, it conventional animals such ungulates, poultry, rabbits. old-fashioned adage “all full, all empty” summarizes need cleaning disinfection structures at end each cycle.

A Novel Ambisense Densovirus, Acheta domesticus Mini Ambidensovirus, from Crickets

The genome structure of Acheta domesticus mini ambidensovirus, isolated from crickets, resembled that of ambisense densoviruses from Lepidoptera but was 20% smaller. It had the highest (<25%) protein sequence identity with the nonstructural protein 1 (NS1) of Iteravirus and VP of Densovirus members (both with 25% coverage) and smaller (0.2- versus 0.55-kb) Y-shaped inverted terminal repeats.

Effect of Latrunculin B on Phonotaxis in Induced Selective Crickets Treated With JHIII (Acheta domesticus)

The purpose of this experiment is to determine the effect of the actin kinase inhibitor, Latrunculin B, on previously unselective crickets. We expected the injection of a mixture of latrunculin b andJuvenile Hormone (JHIII) into the prothoracic ganglion would cause a reduction in the affect of JHIII in older crickets, causing them to remain unselective. Based on the results we can conclude that...
