Homogeneity tests for functional data based on depth-depth plots with chemical applications

One of the classic concerns in statistics is determining if two samples come from thesame population, i.e. homogeneity testing. In this paper, we propose a homogeneitytest context Functional Data Analysis, adopting an idea multivariatedata analysis: data depth plot (DD-plot). This DD-plot generalization theunivariate Q-Q (quantile-quantile plot). We some based onthese DD-plots, and use bootstrapping techniques to estimate their distributions.We finite-sample size power our test via simulation, obtainingbetter results than other proposed literature. Finally, weillustrate procedure real heterogeneous get consistent results.
