Graphene-Based Materials Immobilized within Chitosan: Applications as Adsorbents for the Removal of Aquatic Pollutants

چکیده

Graphene and its derivatives, especially graphene oxide (GO), are attracting considerable interest in the fabrication of new adsorbents that have potential to remove various pollutants escaped into aquatic environment. Herein, development GO/chitosan (GO/CS) composites as adsorbent materials is described reviewed. This combination interesting addition chitosan enhances mechanical properties, while hydrogel serves an immobilization matrix for graphene. Following a brief description both independent materials, emerging GO/CS introduced. The additional been added composites, including magnetic iron oxides, chelating agents, cyclodextrins, polymeric blends, then discussed. performance these removal heavy metal ions, dyes other organic molecules discussed followed by introduction strategies employed regeneration adsorbents. It clear that, some challenges exist, cost, selectivity adsorption process, promising materials.
