Genetic divergence, variability and character association analysis in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) genotypes under normal and late sown conditions

Forty five chickpea genotypes were evaluated under normal and late sown conditions during Rabi,2017-18 in the experimental field of Department Genetics Plant Breeding, C.C.S. University, Meerut Uttar Pradesh. The Randomized Block Design with three replications observations recorded for each genotype replication all studied characters. Analysis variance showed significant variation among characters both (normal sowing). highest values GCV PCV recorded number pods per plant, seeds 100 seed weight, biological yield pod plant. Heritability coupled genetic advance as cent mean was high pod, plant conditions. Seed positively correlated branches both conditions.
