First Report of Streptococcus ruminantium in Wildlife: Phenotypic Differences with a Spanish Domestic Ruminant Isolate

چکیده
Streptococcus ruminantium is a recent reclassification of the former suis serovar 33. Although knowledge about S. extensive, information on host range and pathogenic potential still scarce. This bacterium has been isolated from lesions in domestic ruminants, but there are no reports wild animals. Here, we provide associated with Pyrenean chamois (Rupicapra pyrenaica) sheep NE Spain, as well phenotypic biopatterns antimicrobial resistance (AMR) isolates. Overall, caused by were similar to those suis, excluding polyserositis. Heterogeneity profiles was observed within strains VITEK-2, resulting only two tests common all isolates different suis: Alpha-Galactosidase Methyl-B-D-Glucopyranoside, both positive for negative strains. Isolates susceptible antimicrobials tested, except danofloxacin, whereas isolate resistant tetracycline. In conclusion, can cause infection be pathology ruminants. Due its diversity, specific PCR optimal identification routine diagnosis.

The First Report of Differences in Gut Microbiota Composition between Obese and Normal Weight Iranian Subjects
Background: Obesity is a complex disorder influenced by various genetic and environmental factors. It has been shown that gut microbiota, which colonizes gastrointestinal tract, has a substantial role as an environmental factor in the pathophysiology of obesity. Since the composition of gut microbiota alters with regard to different criteria, such as ethnicity, geographical location, diet, life...
متن کاملFirst report of a human isolate of Erwinia persicinus.
Erwinia persicinus was first described in 1990 after being isolated from a variety of fruits and vegetables, including bananas, cucumbers, and tomatoes. In 1994, it was shown to be the causative agent of necrosis of bean pods. We now report the first human isolate of E. persicinus. The strain was isolated from the urine of an 88-year-old woman who presented with a urinary tract infection. By th...
متن کاملMyocarditis and Meningitis during Early Sepsis in a Neonate with Streptococcus pseudopneumoniae: A Case Report
Although myocarditis is uncommon in neonates, a wide variety of infectious pathogens can result in myocarditis, including viruses, bacteria, rickettsia, fungi, and protozoa. Viruses are most often the infectious disease found to cause acute myocarditis. On the other hand, bacterial myocarditis (BM) is an unusual cause of infectious myocarditis. BM is commonly seen in the context of sepsis or as...
متن کاملEsophagotomy in a domestic fowl: a rare case report
Background: Foreign body in esophagus in birds is rarely reported in literature. Most common site of foreign body in birds is proventriculus and ventriculus. The purpose of this study is to discuss the diagnosis of a large sharp foreign body in the distal third of the neck by plain radiography and its retrieval through esophagotomy and subsequent survival of the fowl. C...
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequence of the First Human Isolate of the Ruminant Pathogen Mycoplasma capricolum subsp. capricolum
Mycoplasma capricolum subsp. capricolum is a well-known pathogen of small ruminants. A recent human case of septicemia involving this agent raised the question of its potential pathogenicity to humans. We present the first draft genome sequence of a human Mycoplasma capricolum subsp. capricolum isolate.
