Main source(s): Rigshospitalet Introduction Familial predisposition to cardiovascular disease (CVD) and death among patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA), is sparsely described in current literature. Methods This study used the nationwide Danish Cardiac Arrest Registry identify all OHCA (probands) presumed origin from 2001-2014 <70 years age at time First-degree were identified using Family Relations Database. Results 5,443 (75% male, median 51 years) 16,260 relatives; 10,207 parents (48.2% fathers, 71 6,053 full siblings (52.7% brothers, 47.2 years). Parents had (27.5% vs. 21.9%), mortality (51.4% 38.4%) more often caused by (39.9% 34.1%) (p<0.001 all). Stratified groups, 30-49 their corresponding (bar diagram fig.1).
