The development of highly efficient and environmentally friendly machines requires the use new technologies that are created using innovative design solutions materials. This also applies to various types propulsion units, such as gas microturbines or combustion engines. Although these have been known for many years, by components, it is still possible improve their performance. article presents an experimental study conducted on a foil bearing polymer coating anti-friction material. These bearings allow reduction in friction losses not lubricated with conventional lubricants. dynamic characteristics structure were determined, which essential terms both rotor dynamics entire system. research was carried out over wide range frequencies, different loads acting directions.
