Evaluation of onset, cessation and seasonal precipitation of the Southeast Asia rainy season in <scp>CMIP5</scp> regional climate models and <scp>HighResMIP</scp> global climate models

Representing the rainy season of maritime continent is a challenge for global and regional climate models. Here, we compare models (RCMs) based on coupled model intercomparison project phase 5 (CMIP5) generation with high-resolution comparable spatial resolution from HighResMIP experiment. The onset total precipitation both experiments are compared against observational datasets Southeast Asia.
