چکیده
The Burseraceae family consists of 18 genera and 540 species. Boswellia dalzielii is a medicinal plant used in tropical subtropical areas for the treatment management various ailments. Despite value B. dalzielii, there no comprehensive documentation. study aimed to review ethnopharmacology, biological evaluation chemical composition dalzielii. Scopus, Web Science, BioMed Central, Science Direct, PubMed, Springer Link, Google Scholar were searched find published articles. results showed that leaves, stem bark, root have been traditionally Nigeria, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Benin, Sudan, Guinee antirheumatic, antispasmodic, analgesic, antiseptic, hypotensive, malarial mental illness, ulcer, pain, fever. It also found antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, antimalarial properties with stembark having highest activity. Chemically, it was revealed leaf has high contents monoterpenes hydrocarbons alpha-pinene as major compound. species largely studied vitro, according literature survey. A well-designed clinical experiment required obtain conclusive evidence on efficacy stembark. standard dose safety should be established.

متن کاملAntinociceptive Activities of the Methanolic Extract of the Stem Bark of Boswellia dalzielii Hutch. (Burseraceae) in Rats Are NO/cGMP/ATP-Sensitive-K+ Channel Activation Dependent
Boswellia dalzielii (B. dalzielii) is traditionally used in the treatment of rheumatism, pain, and inflammation. The present investigation evaluates the property and possible mechanism of action of the methanolic extract of B. dalzielii (BDME) on inflammatory and neuropathic pain models. Effects of BDME (250 and 500 mg/kg), orally administered, were verified in mechanical hypernociception induc...
