Ethno-Medical Informations from Coastal Odisha, a Review

Traditional knowledge that is developed through the combined experience of many generations still practiced in tribal and rural societies. The aim this review to collect informations on medico-religious plants used various ailments by Tribal population Odisha with a focus pharmacological uses some plants, order create room for future research. novelty our best understood from fact religious basis their application has not yet been addressed first instance such study undertaken sequential manner. Worldwide accepted databases were searched Odisha, electronic search, literature Indian Classical texts different traditional books. Semi-structured interviews conducted 50 informants (Age 50yrs, male 80% & female 20%) at 20 locations around coastal districts find folkloric use photographs captured during rituals observed throughout Year. A total 46 numbers found widely district diseases. details like scientific name, family, local name its utilization method preparation provided. Six have background utilized frequently. Detailed investigations reviewed relating phytochemistry, pharmacology could be research interest area phytomedicine.
