Abstract Aims National emergency laparotomy audit (NELA) developed in 2014 the UK, aims to improve of quality care patients undergoing laparotomy. NELA highlights importance identifying high risk for potential significant morbidity and mortality. The aim this study is review 30 day mortality at a single centre. Methods This retrospective all since carried out East Cheshire NHS Trust until January 2020. survivors beyond days were used as controls. Results Conclusion overall rate was 9.8 %. deaths occurred older, frail, multi-comorbid & ASA status patients. Most occur within 90 days, whereas patient survival curve appears plateau days. P possum can be identify patients, where early collaborative senior assessment by consultant surgeons, anaesthetists intensivists may allocate appropriate surgical intervention.
