ENHANCING ORAL PROFICIENCY USING THREE STEPS INTERVIEW TECHNIQUE FOR ELEVENTH GRADERS

Enhancing students' abilities and potential is an important thing that every teacher must do gradually. The ability to speak in a foreign language one of the skills be developed, which will benefit students their learning process. aim this study enhance oral proficiency using Three steps interview technique for eleventh-grade students. Quasi-Experimental research design as method applied study, determine whether are use Steps Interview has better than who taught group discussion. This involves two classes divided into experimental class control with 32 each class. Students received special treatment class, namely, technique, while researcher Group Discussion technique. instrument used testing was pretest before implementing techniques doing posttest after applying techniques. data analysis results showed p(0.000)< significance level (0.05), means significant effect cooperative on proficiency, motivation enthusiasm during Thus, can easily express ideas opinions confidently.
