Energetic Study on Jordanian Olive Cake and Woody Biomass Materials

In this work, the potential for energy production in Jordan was explored using four distinct types of biomass samples (olive cakes, woods). The proximate analysis, oil content, and higher heating value were all determined experimentally compared to other previously published literature. findings appear be similar materials utilized as solid biofuel feed-stock materials. Olive cake wood have lower calorific values than anthracite coal, ranging from 25% 40% lower. According results study, olive had highest extractive content (14.5 wt%), followed by pine beech woody with 8.9 wt% 3.1 wt%, respectively. tested ranged 18 22 MJ/kg, making them suitable use fuel. Moreover, high volatile matter (78% 93%) appropriate chemical conversion gasification or combustion process. can create roughly 8000 tons pomace per year waste cake, based on existing results. Furthermore, cake’s is estimated 38 MW annual quantity resource. meantime, due limited production, Jordanian firewood has modest (2.4 MW).
