چکیده
This is a conference extension of the paper ‘Investigation on mature storm cloud’s electric field using long airborne antennas’. The use vertical antennas (including VEDs—Vertical Electric Dipoles), lifted up by aerostats to high altitudes without being anchored ground, presents numerous advantages in comparison with large terrestrial VLF (Very Low Frequency) antenna structures. A slow-moving floating-earth conductor—a wire antenna—is subjected intense electrification mechanisms atmosphere and inside cloud layers, producing additional risks for transmitter flight train itself. electrical potential achieved this process is, therefore, compared flashover voltages over antenna’s upper fixing point, defining voltage margins at which able operate. processes are also model based experimental data occurrence corona discharges long, traversing layer. external strength (around wire) calculated older clouds various locations, showing correctness proposed analytical model, and, expanding it loss charge via corona.

As air traffic grows significantly, aircraft accidents increase. Many aviation accidents could be prevented if the precise aircraft positions and weather conditions on the aircraft’s route were known. Existing studies propose determining the precise aircraft positions via a VHF channel with an air-to-air radio relay system that is based on mobile ad-hoc networks. However, due to the long propag...

The action of a number of agents, which may be classified as "stabilizers" and "unstabilizers" on the electrical oscillations and after-potentials in the squid giant axon has been examined. The effects on the spike, "positive overshoot," and "potassium potential" were also observed, but where possible concentrations were employed which left these phenomena unaltered. Veratrine augmented the osc...
متن کاملElectrical conductivity of SiO2 at extreme conditions and planetary dynamos.
Ab intio molecular dynamics simulations show that the electrical conductivity of liquid SiO2 is semimetallic at the conditions of the deep molten mantle of early Earth and super-Earths, raising the possibility of silicate dynamos in these bodies. Whereas the electrical conductivity increases uniformly with increasing temperature, it depends nonmonotonically on compression. At very high pressure...
متن کاملElectrical Phenomena on the Moon and Mars
The Moon and Mars represent intriguing and divergent case studies where natural electrical processes may occur in environments beyond our more familiar terrestrial experience. The windy, Aeolian environment of Mars likely produces substantial electrical activity via the tribo-electrification of individual dust grains that occurs during atmospheric disturbances. While there may be some analogies...
