چکیده
Background & AimsChronic viral hepatitis is a leading cause of worldwide liver-related morbidity and mortality, despite the availability effective treatments that reduce or prevent complications in most patients. Electronic-health (eHealth) technologies have potential to intervene along whole cascade care. We aimed summarize available literature on eHealth interventions with respect conventional screening, diagnostic treatment outcomes chronic B (HBV) C (HCV).MethodsWe systematically reviewed MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Library international conference abstracts, including studies published from 2009 – 2020. Overall 80 were included, covering electronic medical record (EMR) (n=39), telemedicine (n=20), mHealth (n=5), devices (n=4), clinical decision support (n=3), web-based social media (n=1) communication (n=3).ResultsCompared standard care, EMR alerts increase screening rates eligible populations birth cohort HCV, universal HCV Emergency Departments, ethnic groups high HBV prevalence, prior immunosuppression. Direct messaging providers automated testing may greater effect. No significant difference was found sustained virological response between face-to-face management for community, rural prison cohorts direct acting antiviral era treatment, higher patient satisfaction groups.ConclusionsEMR significantly both HCV. Telemedicine equally efficacious care treatment. Other show promise; however rigorous are lacking. Chronic (HCV). (n=3). Compared groups.
