Objectives The objective is to answer three research, policy, and strategy questions: 1. Is will be the NATO US of nuclear deterrence effective against Russia? 2. Can as supreme guarantee security have a lasting public acceptance in member states? 3. it necessary complement with another, also strong but different, security? Methods Qualitative methodology used. Offical documents scientific publications provide basis for analysis. Results question 1 mostly not fully positive: Against Russia, probably has high although absolute effectiveness. Evaluated are five nesserary conditions Negative 2 if concerning Poland other countries eastern flank that little knowledge historical experience arms strategy: based on threat retaliation nuclear-armed nations gain acceptance. Affirmative 3: requires complementary guarantee. Conclusions Scientific technological progress likely allow create by realizing concept – which was unattainable past, including during Cold War an impenetrable shield weapon delivery means airspace outer space.
