Effect of land flooding in controlling weeds to several rice varieties in System of Rice Intensification (SRI)

Abstract Rice is still a main carbohydrat source for almost Asian people. The System of rice intensification (SRI) method one effort in increasing production. In cultivating this method, weed the problem. research aimed to study effect land flooding control weeds field by using various varieties. was carried out public field, Kuranji district, Padang, Indonesia. It conducted from July-September 2019. A block randomized design used as study. treatment varieties: Batang Piaman, Panca Redek, PB 42, Pasaman, and Saganggam Panuah. These treatments were replied three times. result showed 15 species found experiment. According Summed dominance ratio, Echinochloa crusgalli most dominant (28.05%). For plant height, Panuah best variety (86.00 cm), Pasaman (20.50) number tiller.
