Dynamic Bilingualism to Dynamic Writing: Using Translanguaging Strategies and Tools

This study is a qualitative analysis of naturally occurring translanguaging phenomenon in the writing practices fifteen high-scoring deaf bilingual adult writers. aims to identify factors related achievement and explore themes that emerge within an asset-based/antideficit, bilingualism/Deaf Gain theoretical framework. Data were gathered by collecting, reviewing, coding, identifying overarching interview transcripts. The findings show participants utilized strategies tools such as translingual interdependence, language flexibility, semiotics multimodalities, American Sign Language (ASL) drafting, visual tracking skills led their achievement.
