Dissolution Rate and Interfacial Behaviors of Alumina Particle in Molten Slag Studied by Single Hot Thermocouple Technique

In view of the deficiencies traditional methods to study dissolution kinetics solid oxides in molten slag, a novel method based on single hot thermocouple technique (SHTT) is proposed this paper. The feasibility verified and controlling means experiment reproducibility explored. And effect slag basicity Li2O content behavior Al2O3 mold flux investigated via SHTT. results show that: 1) Under condition that density particle slightly higher than mass ratio liquid less 2%, relative standard error rate within 10%. 2) rule studied SHTT same as rotating cylinder method. increases with increase basicity. When from 1.0 1.2, significantly, which due formation xCaO∙yAl2O3 or xCaO∙yAl2O3∙zSiO2 intermediate compounds low melting point at boundary layer. 3) With flux, first then decreases. decrease caused by high-melting MgAl2O4 particle.
