چکیده

Everyone knows by conducting autopsy cause of sudden unexpected death can be established. However due to limitations staff, budget and time it forces the surgeon triage cases. Out which cardiac deaths because acute myocardial infarction constitute a significant percentage caseload. When an is performed, there may cardiovascular disease but will no gross or histological evidence infarct unless patient survived for few hours. Troponin I (cTnI) done using peripheral blood was sampled percutaneously before internal examination each 60 autopsies. The rapid assay result, histopathological results were tabulated subsequently correlated. 30 cases all showed positive result in controls 11 false 19 negative results. This statistically according chi-square test. sensitivity this detecting cardiac-related 100%, with specificity 63.33%. In appropriate setting, cTnI provide valuable data supportive death. inexpensive test best used triaging persons optimize use resources pathologist.

Rapid test for Troponin I in whole blood DEVICE

Discovered by Ebashi, Troponins are regulatory proteins in cardiac muscle that modulate the interaction between actin and myosin, during the calcium-mediated contraction of cardiac muscle. Three distinct tissue specific isoforms of Troponin I have been identified, two in skeletal muscle and one in cardiac muscle. The cardiac isoform of Troponin I (cTnI) has an additional sequence of 31 amino ac...

HIV Rapid Diagnostic Test Inventories in Zambézia Province, Mozambique: A Tale of 2 Test Kits

Background The first pillar of the UNAIDS 90-90-90 goal seeks to accurately identify persons living with HIV (PLHIV), a process that is predicated on facilities having the necessary HIV tests available to perform the task. In many rural settings, the identification of PLHIV is accomplished through a two-step process involving the sequential use of 2 separate rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs)....

Sertraline alters level of adenosine deaminase activity, oxidative stress markers and cardiac biomarkers (homocysteine cardiac troponin I) in rats

The aim of this study is whether oxidative stress markers, homocysteine (Hcy), cardiac troponin I (cTnI) and the activity of adenosine deaminase (ADA) alter following administration of different doses of sertraline. Sixty male Wistar rats were assigned into four groups. Sertraline at doses of 20, 40 and 80 mg / kg / day) were administered to three groups through gastric gavage for 90 days. The ...

Degradation of cardiac troponin I in serum complicates comparisons of cardiac troponin I assays.

BACKGROUND Up to a 20-fold variation in serum cardiac troponin I (cTnI) concentration may be observed for a given patient sample with different analytical methods. Because more limited variation is seen for control materials and for purified cTnI, we explored the possibility that cTnI was present in altered forms in serum. METHODS We used four recombinantly engineered cTnI fragments to study ...

Correlations among homocysteine, cardiac troponin I and cardiac enzymes in different ages of clinically healthy male dromedary camels

BACKGROUND: Information regarding serum biochemicalprofile can reflect cardiovascular performance in animals.Although studies have evaluated the inter-relationship amongcardiovascular biomarkers in animals and human beings, thereare no reports of such a probable relationship in camelids.OBJECTIVES: The aim of the present study was to provide dataon the correlations among cardiovascular biomarke...
