چکیده
Abstract Ticks are vector arthropods responsible for the transmission of several pathogenic agents that affect both human and animal health worldwide. In this study our objective was to analyse, using molecular tools, bacterial community Dermacentor reticulatus Haemaphysalis inermis ticks collected in south-eastern Slovakia. Using real-time PCR, we identified presence Rickettsia spp. DNA at levels 14/59 (23.72 %) 29/173 (16.76 D. H. , respectively. addition, standard PCR sequencing, raoultii 13 belonging two investigated species. blast results revealed an average identification percentage 99.62 %. Following there is a possibility play potential role R. . To prove validity hypothesis, suggest performing experimental models future studies. Our can serve as preliminary data models.

Rickettsia helvetica in Dermacentor reticulatus Ticks
We report on the molecular evidence that Dermacentor reticulatus ticks in Croatia are infected with Rickettsia helvetica (10%) or Rickettsia slovaca (2%) or co-infected with both species (1%). These findings expand the knowledge of the geographic distribution of R. helvetica and D. reticulatus ticks.
متن کاملTick cell culture isolation and growth of Rickettsia raoultii from Dutch Dermacentor reticulatus ticks
Tick cell lines play an important role in research on ticks and tick-borne pathogenic and symbiotic microorganisms. In an attempt to derive continuous Dermacentor reticulatus cell lines, embryo-derived primary cell cultures were set up from eggs laid by field ticks originally collected as unfed adults in The Netherlands and maintained for up to 16 months. After several months, it became evident...

متن کاملIdentification of Dermacentor reticulatus Ticks Carrying Rickettsia raoultii on Migrating Jackal, Denmark
From a migrating golden jackal (Canis aureus), we retrieved 21 live male Dermacentor reticulatus ticks, a species not previously reported from wildlife in Denmark. We identified Rickettsia raoultii from 18 (86%) of the ticks. This bacterium is associated with scalp eschar and neck lymphadenopathy after tick bite syndrome among humans.

Our reply supplies supplementary clinical and laboratory fi ndings that could be useful for discussion. During our patient’s hospitalization, we were able to investigate 6/8 diagnostic criteria for HLH proposed by the Histiocyte Society (3). Of these, only 2 or 3 were found: persistent fever at 38.5°C; hypertriglyceridemia at 267 mg/dL (analysis performed at day 7); and cytopenias, which prefer...
