extremal region detection guided by maxima of gradient magnitude
a problem of computer vision applications is to detect regions of interest under dif- ferent imaging conditions. the state-of-the-art maximally stable extremal regions (mser) detects affine covariant regions by applying all possible thresholds on the input image, and through three main steps including: 1) making a component tree of extremal regions’ evolution (enumeration), 2) obtaining region ...
The MS - Q Force Field for Metal Oxides
We develop here a general approach for developing transferrable force fields (FF) for use in molecular dynamics (MD) studies of metal oxides. The key element of this FF is to allow the charges to readjust to the local environment. This allows us to describe both 4-coordinate and 6coordinate SiO 2 with the same bonding terms. Indeed, we were able to fit the structures for these systems with no t...
متن کاملAlkali metal oxides trapped by diethylzinc.
Reactions of alkali metal hydroxides with neat diethyl zinc lead to the formation of oxo-centered clusters M2O(ZnEt2)n (M = Na, n = 3 or M = K, Rb, n = 4). These molecules crystallize in highly symmetric space groups, forming extended structures supported by weak M-H interactions. We discuss the mechanistic implications and relationship of these structures to known (oxo)organozincates.
متن کاملCatalytic production of biodiesel from corn oil by metal-mixed oxides
The present study investigates the transesterification of corn oil with methanol over two oxides of MgO and ZnO at 65 ͦC and 1 atm. These two catalysts have been prepared via a conventional co-precipitation process. As for MgO, the corresponding mixed metal nitrate solution has been mixed and heated at the presence of urea. ZnO has also been synthesized by co-precipitation of metal acetate at th...
