Design and manufacturing of iris waveguide filters for satellite communication

We propose in this paper, two bandpass filters waveguide technology having rectangular symmetrical discontinuities with a half-radius r , designed and operating respectively the X-Band (9 - 11.5) GHz C-Band (3.5 5.5) GHz. These consists of eight irises placed symmetrically on standard waveguides WR90 WR229 which resonant are inserted. used to couple sections very strongly filter, allows bandwidth be increased matching controlled. The comparison between numerical electromagnetic results, we obtained for filters, constitutes means validation computer simulation (CST) environment Mician design other circuit elements various frequency bands. observed excellent consistency curves those measurements. results promising pave way use these structures fields telecommunications.
