چکیده

Aim : This study aimed to clarify the ultrasound semiotics of colorectal cancer liver metastases contrast enhancement, and perform a comparative assessment diagnostic efficacy contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT). Methods We studied 40 patients with cancer: receiving treatment for disease having newly diagnosed cancer. All underwent CT. In cases suspected malignancy, trephine biopsy morphological examination were performed. Results Contrast-enhanced CT demonstrated comparable high efficacy. The sensitivity in malignancy detection was 93.3%, 90% specificity, 96.55% positive predictive value, 81.82% negative 92.5% accuracy. 80% 93.33% Conclusions For contraindications CT, may be used an alternative imaging option differential diagnosis neoplasms.

Diagnostic accuracy of magnetic resonance, computed tomography and contrast enhanced ultrasound in radiological multimodality assessment of peribiliary liver metastases

PURPOSE We compared diagnostic performance of Magnetic Resonance (MR), Computed Tomography (CT) and Ultrasound (US) with (CEUS) and without contrast medium to identify peribiliary metastasis. METHODS We identified 35 subjects with histological proven peribiliary metastases who underwent CEUS, CT and MR study. Four radiologists evaluated the presence of peribiliary lesions, using a 4-point con...

Assessing diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and contrast-enhanced computed tomography in detecting small hepatocellular carcinoma

BACKGROUND This study aimed to compare the diagnostic values of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) in detecting small hepatocellular carcinoma (SHCC). METHODS A series of related articles from 2001 to 2015 were searched in PubMed and Embase databases. Data from selected articles were pooled to analyze the sensitivity, specificity, positive lik...

Characteristics of focal liver lesions in arterial phase on contrast-enhanced ultrasound and contrast--enhanced computed tomography - comparative study.

BACKGROUND To compare the features of focal liver lesions in the arterial phase on contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT). MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 38 lesions in 29 patients with focal liver lesions (FLL) were examined with CEUS and CECT. The characteristics of the enhancement were determined, especially in the early arterial phase (0~...

Contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in the evaluation of liver metastases.

Liver metastases are the most frequent malignancies of the liver. The grayscale sonographic appearance of metastases varies: they can be hypoechoic, hyperechoic, they can present a peripheral halo, they can have an infiltrative or cystic appearance. On contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), in the arterial phase, liver metastases can be hyperenhancing (hypervascular ones) or hypoenhancing (hypova...
