Comparative Accuracy Analysis of Truck Weight Measurement Techniques

Roads and bridges are designed to meet the transportation demands for traffic volume loading. Knowledge of actual is needed a rational management highway infrastructure. There various procedures equipment measuring truck weight, including static in weigh-in-motion techniques. This paper aims compare four systems: portable scale, stationary weigh station, pavement system (WIM), bridge (B-WIM). The first two reliable, but they have limitations as can measure only small fraction traffic. Weigh-in-motion (WIM) measurements allow continuous recording vehicles. presented study database was obtained at location that allowed same using all measurement systems.
